Based in New York City, Bryce Cox is an emerging flutist currently pursuing her Master of Music in Classical Flute Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where she studies with Professor Linda Chesis. She has recently appeared with the New York City Orchestra Project on both flute and piccolo, and played principal flute with the local Center Symphony Orchestra for their March 2026 concert cycle. She is an active chamber musician, with a special interest in outreach, and was a participant in the 2026 Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival.

Bryce is the founder and executive director of Musicians for Progress, an emerging NYC based nonprofit dedicated to creating social change through classical and contemporary music. Focused on creating accessibility within classical music, she is also teacher with the nonprofit Through the Staff.

Bryce was previously a finalist in the 2025 Boston University at Carnegie Hall Soloist Competition in 2025, and a finalist in the 2022 Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra Youth Instrumentalists Competition. She has been involved in summer festivals such as Orford Musique, and was a selected performer for the New York Flute Club’s masterclass with Rachel Blumenthal in December 2025.

Bryce performed with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra under the direction of Benjamin Zander during their 2024-2025 season, and accompanied the orchestra on their tour of Mexico during the summer of 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University, where she studied with Linda Toote. In addition to her major, she graduated with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Bryce has previously studied with Dr. Pauline Jung and Dr. Barbara Hopkins.

Outside of music, Bryce is also an active writer, and has a special interest in interdisciplinary art and studies.
